So I did the drastic and bought a new HDD 1Tb instead of the 2 that it came with and loaded Win 7 Ultimate on it and now I finally got it where I like it with my software installed and my settings

I ended up thinking that it was the OS or hard drive that was not working well so I tried to format the drive and install a clean OS but first it would not format and load the OS kept giving me errors. I have to restart several times loading my profile and software but kept crashing, even after restoring to factory settings. Pros: I like the i7 processor and the speed is great, as well as the Nvidia video card they run great and with the 16 Gb memory it compliments the speed, and the delivery was in just a few days, and a wireless desktop.Ĭons: Windows 8 sucks, after I opened the box and started setting up I loaded my profile and installed some of my software, after the second reboot it would not recognize my profile any more as if I was starting all over again. A very nice brushed metal case with Bluetooth, blue ray, a, b, g, n and ac networking with an external antenna.Ĭons: I really haven't seen any as of yet, if I do I will revise this It has everything an alienware computer except for the fun case, but that's not a deal breaker. One of the main deals that I liked was it didn't have a huge ps, so it isn't going to make the electric bill climb like crazy and yet it cranks right along. There are so many features in this package, it'll blow your socks off. All these together for under $900, my son is as happy as can be, he was using my older i5 laptop and he couldn't get his frame rate any faster than 20-30 fps now he uses dual screens with pandora and other programs running in the background and now he doesn't go under 100 fps. 16 Gigs of DDR3 ram, more than enough for what you'll need for gaming along with a 4 Gig Nvidia video card with DDR5. It's an i7 quad core though when you look at it in it shows 8 cores, 3.6 GHz with turbo to 4.0 GHz. Pros: This came with everything and then some.

I suggest this to a new gamer who would rather spend cash than hair pulling but it is IMPERATIVE that you upgrade the graphics and in return the pcu because at 300w the stock power supply cant run more than the wind can move a stone The rest of this pc's specs are ranked in the high 90's percentile (more than enough) When you subject it to a CanIRunIt run it fails all the new realeases at minimun but the reason: Sure its $400 worth of upgrades but its well worth it seeing that you get an i7 and 16gb of ram

Overall Review: I threw a 4gb gddr5 Amd in this (with a new 700w power supply) and it can run what ever the hell i want at full ultra settings. Its the graphics card that is far less than desirable but thats it. Mouse is comfortable (but i suggest spending $ 80 on a good ergonomic one if your already dropping $1000)Ĭons: to run the newest realeases and those before and well after the holiday season there are graphics and power supply upgrades needed Processor is top of the line, shouldnt be hindering for a whileĮasy to upgrade as far as ive gone (new Gpu and power supply) Pros: With a few upgrades this pc will shine, running games at top spec for the next year (even next gen!)
